Bank's Vietnam Development Report 2002. Essentially an overview of
Vietnam's recent structural reforms and domestic growth prospects, the
report is reasonably optimistic about the country's medium-term outlook,
noting the ameliorative effects of anticipated reforms, a more stable
investment climate, and the impact of the recently completed bilateral
trade agreement with the US. This kind of news should be gratifying to
the donors as they decide to dig into their wallets once again. It is
even more gratifying for Vietnam's citizens.
